Manager Product Development who will:
- Be accountable for managing the self-funded product portfolio
including the development and full life cycle management of
products and services across the line of business
- Lead market research, competitive analysis, strategic product
positioning and product priorities
- Be charged with guiding cross functional teams and process to
lead to innovative products that will differentiate PHP from the
competition and drive PHP growth
- Seek to define the most effective path to market which may
include development and management of strategic partnerships
- Lead multiple cross functional teams to drive product
development decisions, initiatives and implementation that span
multiple lines of businessThis position is considered to be a
Hybrid role working a combination of in office / work from home

- Texas: LubbockPrimary Responsibilities:
- Lead the product development and management efforts across all
the self-funded line of business
- Manage and plan the work to support the department goals and
the individual employee's objectives
- Manage the product development process - including market
research, competitive analysis, product requirements, and financial
analysis to support product feasibility decisions
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations to boards,
administrative councils, committees and external audiences with
compelling delivery to gain support
- Establish and monitor success measures and expectations of
governing councils including Product Strategy Committee
- Provide input into the annual member enrollment forecasting
with assigned finance staff support
- Create and develop product launch plans
- Provide leadership and consultation in analyzing product
positioning in collaboration with Providence marketing and
communications to assure promotional campaigns and advertising are
targeted for success
- Collaborate in analyzing the success of campaigns
- Provide leadership and consultation in analyzing sales channels
and activities in collaboration with sales management
- Lead the product development and market environmental
assessment work
- Establish success measures and objectives aligned with growth
and financial goalsAdditional Responsibilities:
- Maintain expert knowledge of the local and national health
insurance market, products and direction
- Manage applicable external councils to inform product and
services feedbackRequired qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or another degree in a related
field of study
- Project management training
- 7 years experience in product development, taking a product
idea through feasibility, implementation and life cycle phases
- Market research and product marketing experience
- Experience leading teams of professional level staff
- Project management experience
- Proven oral presentation experience
- Experience with market analysis tools, PowerPoint, Excel and
WordPreferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or another related
degree
