Student Nurse - II Position in Education Department
This is a variable shift position designed to work around your school schedule, with flexible hours to accommodate your needs.
The nursing internship program provides hands-on experience in hospital bed-side patient care, clinical skills, and the nursing process to deliver effective patient care.
As a Student Nurse - II, you will assist in individualized patient care, achieve patient wellness, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  
• Utilize resources and devices to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  
• Analyze patient information and laboratory data.
  
• Triage patient issues and perform patient education as needed.
  
• Accurately document patient charting and information in a timely manner.
  
• Work cooperatively with others as part of a team and recognize the importance of group goals.
  
• Perform designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to patient care.
  
• May perform direct patient care activities for all age groups.
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Currently enrolled as a second-year student in an accredited nursing program with a 3.0 or higher accumulative GPA.
    
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology.
    
  • Eligible to sit for the board of nursing exam in Montana following graduation.
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • BLS Certification upon hire.
      
    • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.

      • Effective human relations skills for interfacing with team members, staff, physicians, patients, and families.

        Flexible scheduling to accommodate student availability.
