Description Providence is calling a Certified Pharmacy
Technician II (Pharmacy, Evening-shift, 0.8 FTE) to St. Patrick
Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers

system. In this position you will:
- Direct workload to assure that the I.V. admixture service is
efficient
- Product are prepared and delivered in a timely manner
- Assure that policies and procedures relating to the preparation
and delivery of I.V. are followed
- Evaluate and provide feedback to staff to assure that I.V.
admixture products are prepared using strict aseptic technique
- Assure that adequate levels of bulk syringes and various CSP's
(compounded sterile preparations) are prepared at all times
- Assure that pharmacy equipment is in good working order and
that adequate supplies are available for the preparation of I.V.
admixture
- Act as a resource for staff re: I.V. admixture
- Function as a staff technician (see Pharmacy Technician I job
description) as needed to meet operational requirements
- Act on any controlled substance discrepancies
appropriately
- Check patient record for pertinent information before
processing orders
- Enter charges and credits for patient medications timely and
accurately Required qualifications for this position includes:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The technician must have
a license to practice as a pharmacy technician in the state of
Montana
- Valid Montana State Driver's License, motor vehicle record,
insurance
- Working knowledge of all policies and procedures related to the
preparation of IV admixtures
- Experience with the preparation of all types of IV admixtures
including minibags, syringes, and large volumes Preferred
qualifications for this position includes:
- Coursework/Training in Pharmacy technician program
- One (1) year experience working in an IV admixture service
within an acute care setting About the hospital you will serve. St.
