Engineer II Division: Innovative Solutions Group Department: Human
Factor Engineering Status: Full-Time Overview: Nomad Global

team. The Level ll Human Factor Engineer is responsible for
delivering high-quality human factor engineering solutions aligned
with defined scope, schedule, and technical requirements. This role
applies established human factor principles, standards, and methods
to support the design, development, and validation of Nomads
products and systems. Organizational Structure: Engineering is
organized into Teams and Disciplines within the Innovative
Solutions Division. The Human Factor Engineering discipline
supports all Innovative Solutions Teams and ensures
cross-discipline technical integrity. Teams: Team 1 Standards and
Modularity: Builds and maintains engineering standards, modules,
templates, and rules enabling repeatability and scale. Team 2
Design: Executes project-level engineering using established
standards and less complex custom configurations. Team 3 Advanced:
Develops novel systems and resolves first-of-kind engineering
challenges. Team 4 Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering: Ensures
manufacturability, safety, engineering intent, efficiency, and
continuous improvement throughout Production. Disciplines:

Human Factor Engineering (where this position resides) Software
Engineering The Level ll Human Factor Engineer operates within the
Human Factor Engineering discipline and collaborates closely with
all Teams and Disciplines. Responsibilities: Human Factor Delivery
& Innovation:Deliver high-quality HumanFactorsolutions aligned with
project scope, schedule, and customer expectations while proposing
and implementing new HF concepts, processes, and tools across
products and programs. Technical Authority & Standards Ownership:
Serve as the technical authority for HumanFactorengineering and own
HF standards and methods for ergonomics, workflows, safety logic,
interlocks, alarms, interfaces, and serviceability. System-Level HF
Accountability: Own the HumanFactoraspects of system design for the
connected mobile operation center, ensuring solutions are safe,
intuitive, ergonomic, durable, and maintainable. Cross-Discipline
Integration: Ensure clean human-machine integration with
Mechanical, Electrical, IT, and Software Engineering requirements
and overall system architecture. Design Review & Corrective Action:
Identifyusability, ergonomic, and human-system integration risks
and require design changes when HumanFactor, safety, or workflow
standards are not met. User Interface Leadership:
GuideHumanFactoraspects of user interfaces across tablets,
touchscreens, control panels, and dashboards to simplify workflows
and reduce error. Testing & Reliability Support: Incorporate
HumanFactorinto test planning and execution, contributing to
reliability, environmental, and system-level testing activities.
Operational & Field Collaboration: Partner with Quality,
Production, and Field/Service teams to diagnose operator issues,
incorporate lessons learned, and drive corrective actions into
designs and standards. Continuous Improvement: Apply established
HumanFactorengineering methods with minimal supervision and
continuously improve HF processes, tools, and best practices.
Professional Conduct & Values: Model and reinforce Nomad Core

accountability in daily operations. Team Collaboration: Support
Team 1 in developing andmaintainingHumanFactorstandards, modularity
rules, templates, libraries, and peer-review checklists. Review and
evaluate product proposals from both internal and external
customers todeterminefeasibility, producibility, cost, delivery
time, and production time. Discuss proposals with customer
representatives, engineers, NTC team members, and other personnel.
Formulate straightforward conceptual designs based on proposals to
meet customer requirements. Create, prepare, and write systematic
documentation needed to support, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues
with each respective product. Support Team 2 by ensuring new
engineers are trained in HumanFactorstandards, design methods, and
correct application of HF modules. Own the NTC hardware
configuration process, including: Embedded software for
micro-controlled hardware (Modules) and sensors; Software for
Control Systems (Central Node), tablets, and screens; Software and
system architecture for Content Delivery and Distribution systems,
including but not limited to Encoders and CDNs;
Software/communication libraries and protocols for communication
between Modules, Central Nodes, Sensors, and third-party control
systems. Assemble andmodifyexisting equipment and software to meet
special needs. Test configured hardware on NTC test boards and/or
environmental testing platforms. Verify software performance
against specifications and requirements; analyze and record test
data. Attend meetingsregardingupcoming builds, take meaningful
notes, and actively participate: Proposal Reviews; Sales/Project
Management Kickoffs; SPN reviews, Initial Design Reviews (IDR), and
Executive Design Reviews (EDR); and Activelyparticipatein Executive
Reviews and document any findings. Submit Bills of Materials (BOMs)
based on the project requirements ina timelyfashion and track
status. Support Team 3 by reviewing and contributing to
first-of-kind engineering solutions, ensuring safety, usability,
and system-level human-machine behavior are sound. Lead research,
design, and integration of new and enhanced systemsincluding
automation, sensors, communications, user interfaces, vehicle data,
and securityto improve usability, performance, safety, and
operational efficiency based on customer and operator needs. Drive
system reliability improvements through comprehensive testing and
lifecycle validation while evaluating and applying emerging
technologies (e.g., robotics, computer vision, machine learning,
AR) to support next-generation capabilities and production
readiness. Lead HumanFactorcontributions to innovation and new
product development, particularly for Nomad Total Command (NTC).
Translate customer and operator feedback into improved workflows,
interfaces, alarm schemes, and standard operating procedures. Own
HumanFactorrequirements for automation, remote control, and
programmable system responses, ensuring safety and recoverability.
Define HumanFactorrequirements for advanced sensors and monitoring
systems, including intuitive status indications and alerts. Support
Team 4 by validating manufacturability and operator/service access,
optimizing workflows, and ensuring designs are production-ready.
Provide internal training to the Nomad Production team regarding
NTC hardware installation and testing. Provide technical
troubleshooting support remotely or onsite as needed. Assistwith
diagnosing field issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring
corrective actions are documented and implemented. Review and
improve startup/shutdown procedures, checklists, troubleshooting
guides, and configuration documentation. Coordinate and/or deliver
training on HumanFactorstandards and tools. Required Education and
Experience: MS in Engineering and 1 years experience in electrical
engineering or similar OR BS in Engineering or related field and3
years experience in electrical engineering or similar OR High
school degree and 7 years experience in electrical engineering or
similar. Master of Science / Bachelor of Science degree in Human
Factor Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Degree must be ABET accredited. 1 years experience with
microcontrollers and electrical or mechanical engineering.
Development of at least one hardware application. Understanding
ofmicrocontroller programming. Basic understanding of electrical
drafting, technical writing, and technological designs. General
understanding of web applicationfunction, Linux, and Windows OS.
Working knowledge of NodeJS, JavaScript, React, and/or similar
programming. Working knowledge of relational database systems and
Object Orientated Programming. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Clear technical communication, both written
and verbal. Customer-focused mindset with attention to quality and
detail. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple
priorities. Willingness to learn and grow within the
HumanFactorEngineering discipline. Physical Demands: Ability to
stand and sit for extended periods. Manual dexterity to operate
office equipment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Working Environment: Professional office environment with regular
interaction with guests, clients, team members, and vendors.
Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually
moderate. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required when on
the production floor. Everyday workwear must be business
casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.
Subject to temperatures fluctuations if/when job duties require
time on the production floor. Expected to maintain a professional
image and demeanor on company property and while representing the
