DescriptionThe Director of Information Technology (IT) will lead
RMEF's IT team, driving technology initiatives that support RMEF's
business operations. This leadership role provides strategic
oversight of all IT operations, ensuring the technology
infrastructure, systems and services effectively empower staff. The
Director of IT will play a key role in RMEF's ongoing digital
transformation including ensuring the NetSuite ERP conversion
optimizes and enhances organizational efficiency and growth. This
position will work with department leadership to align technology
projects with organizational goals, manage IT resources and
budgets, and foster a high-performing team culture in collaboration
with all departments.Essential Functions:
- IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a
forward-looking IT strategy that aligns with RMEF's business
operations and long-term goals. Provide leadership and mentorship
to the IT team, promoting innovation, professional growth, and a
service-oriented culture.
- Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee all aspects of IT
infrastructure and operations, including networks, servers, cloud
services, telecommunications, and end-user support. Ensure high
availability, reliability, and scalability of systems to meet
organizational needs.
- Security & Compliance: Lead the implementation of extensive
cybersecurity practices, data protection measures, incident
response planning and compliance with relevant standards. With the
IT Team, proactively manage cyber-security risks and disaster
recovery planning to safeguard RMEF's data and operations.
- Digital Transformation: Drive the adoption of modern technology
solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the
organization. Support RMEF's ongoing NetSuite ERP optimization and
enhancement, and other software deployments ensuring smooth
integration and user adoption.
- Project Management: Working with department leadership,
prioritize and oversee a portfolio of IT projects (e.g., system
upgrades, new application implementations, infrastructure
improvements). Establish project management best practices and
track progress to successful, on-time delivery.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Develop and manage the IT
department budget, identifying strategic investment opportunities
in technology while controlling costs. Negotiate and manage vendor
and consultant relationships, contracts, and service agreements to
ensure high-value, cost-effective solutions.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with all divisions
(Revenue, Mission Operations, Support Operations and Brand &
Communication) to understand their technology needs and deliver
solutions that advance their objectives. Provide excellent customer
service to staff and volunteers, ensuring timely support and
training on IT systems.
- Policy & Governance: Establish and enforce IT policies and
procedures, including data governance, security protocols, and
acceptable use policies. Stay current with industry trends and best
practices and advise senior leadership on emerging technologies and
opportunities.Supervision Responsibilities:Oversees Information
Technology staff and IT vendors.Additional Responsibilities:Perform
other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree
in computer science, information technologies, or related field is
required, an advanced degree or relevant certifications such as
PMP, ITIL or CISSP are preferred. Must have a minimum of seven
years of progressive experience in a business environment including
three years leading technical teams. Experience implementing or
managing enterprise business systems (ERP/CRM) preferred,
experience with Oracle NetSuite is highly preferred.Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and support of the RMEF's mission, goals, programs
and activities.
- Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications
and modern cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network administration, system
architecture, cybersecurity and end-user support management.
- Demonstrated ability developing and executing IT strategies
that align with organizational goals. Ability to translate broad
vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to
effectively communicate with RMEF employees and lead
volunteers.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving
skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of staff and
be viewed as a team leader. Must demonstrate the ability to team
with individuals with different levels of knowledge and
expertise.
- Must have the ability to manage, motivate, and lead staff.
- Must be customer service oriented and be able create and
maintain a department focused on providing excellent customer
service.
- Must be able to independently solve problems with practical
solutions and effectively implement those solutions.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions, effectively
manage multiple priorities demonstrate flexibility with change, and
meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to represent RMEF professionally demonstrating a
professional, positive approach.
- Must have the ability to manage and resolve conflict.Physical
Demands:Can sit for long periods. Constant use of office equipment
such as telephones, computers, and copy machines are necessary.
Some light lifting and bending are also necessary. Some travel may
