Job Description:

Looking for a Personal Assistant/ Caregiver to care for a Quadriplegic on self-directed services. It's not often a demanding job. But, it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are disabled are thankful for high quality assistance. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You need to be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help client.

Help client take prescribed medication
Assist client with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
Assist client with personal care and hygiene
Help client with physical therapy exercises
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client (when they are able)
Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
Perform light housekeeping duties that client can't complete on their own
Be a pleasant and supportive companion

Skills

Proven experience as a caregiver/ not required
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Respectful and compassionate
Good time management skills and strong ethics
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Physical endurance
High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time/PRN

Hours:

1. Weekdays 15-20hrs

2. Weekends Sat & Sun 8am-12n or Every-other weekend 8am-12n/ Sunday 6-8pm

Salary: $16.45 per hour
