summary:
The Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical is responsible for providing
acute care to patients utilizing the nursing process. This role
involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing
care, while serving as a patient advocate and mentor. The position
requires an active RN license and experience in acute care
settings, focusing on patient education and management.
Acute Care Registered Nurse
Status/FTE: PT / 0.4-0.6 FTE
Shift length: 12 hours
Start Time: 1900
Unit: -Acute Care
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2)
12-hour shifts per week. Every third weekend
Unit specific additional qualifications:
The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning,
implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from
admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides
expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts
as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes,
interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in
assigned timelines.
