General Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients in various inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (depending on the cardiologist's subspecialty). Minimum Education Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Fellowship training in cardiology (may be preferred depending on the position). License & Certifications: Board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA. Active and unrestricted medical license in Montana Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum cardiologist positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing cardiac care in a clinical setting.
