Surgical Technician – Surgery General at Providence summary: The Surgical Technician prepares sterile surgical environments and assists the surgical team during procedures, ensuring proper care of equipment and specimens. Candidates must be graduates of accredited programs with certification as a Surgical Technologist and BLS provider. This role supports patient-centered care within a comprehensive healthcare system emphasizing inclusivity and professional growth. Description The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training - graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program. National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
