Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kalispell, Montana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a registered Dietitian with inpatient acute and ICU experience to join an acute care team with adult critical care focus. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in an acute care and ICU setting at a Level III trauma center - Inpatient adults only, no outpatient care - Common diagnoses include diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal and GI issues, vented patients, and patients on tube feeds or TPN - Perform 8-12 nutritional assessments per day, with 6-8 for critical care patients - Participate in interdisciplinary rounds - Could float to other inpatient units such as MedSurg, Tele, or PCU - Uses Meditech EMR, Meditech experience preferred - Shift is 10 hour days, typically scheduled 0800-1700, Monday through Friday with some flexibility - One weekend shift required every fourth weekend - No on-call responsibilities - Possible holiday coverage required - Responsibilities include comprehensive nutritional assessments, aggressive nutrition therapy, and recommending feeding formulas and rates - Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care team during rounds - Department support includes MDs, RNs, other dietitians, supervisor, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists with 24/7 coverage - New employee orientation and two days of departmental orientation provided - Scrubs must be solid-colored or business casual attire - Free parking available - First-time travelers will be considered, but travel experience is preferred - Scheduled one month at a time - Requests for time off are reviewed by the manager /n /n Requirements/n - Current BLS certification required - Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required - Montana Nutritionist License required - Bachelor’s or advanced degree in nutrition or related field required - At least 2 years of inpatient acute experience, with at least 1 year working with critical/ICU patients - Nutrition focused physical examination and malnutrition assessment skills required - Experience with feeding tubes, vented patients, and aggressive nutritional therapy required - CNSC certification preferred - Meditech EMR experience preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-660431.
