Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an
experienced RN with LTC-CIP certification for a long-term care
infection prevention role requiring 2-3 years of infection control
experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a skilled nursing
and long-term care facility focusing on infection prevention and
control - Unit serves both long-term and short-term care residents
with a census of 94 - Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30
pm with flexible scheduling - No weekend or on-call requirements -
Holiday coverage is not required; holidays are off - No floating
between units - Uses Meditech, Point Click Care, and SharePoint for
charting, and Pyxis for medication dispensing - One week of
orientation with the Infection Prevention Supervisor, with
additional training as needed - Key responsibilities include
quality/chart reviews, auditing, outbreak investigation, and staff
support - Will help build and standardize an infection prevention
program for the facility - Expected to conduct training and
possible onboarding of new infection preventionists - Work includes
gap analysis, regulatory compliance, and antimicrobial stewardship
- Support provided by an educator and Director of Nursing - Scrub
color is flexible; any color is allowed - Employee parking is
available - All time-off requests require nurse manager approval /n
/n Requirements/n - Active RN or LPN license in MT or compact state
- LTC-CIP (Long-Term Care Certification in Infection Prevention)
required - Minimum 2-3 years of infection prevention experience
required - In-depth knowledge of standard and transmission-based
precautions, infection control protocols, and outbreak management -
Experience with surveillance, data analysis, and infection
reporting - Familiarity with Meditech, Point Click Care,
SharePoint, and Pyxis preferred - Understanding of federal and
state infection control regulations - First-time travelers will not
