Position Medical Director (MD / DO / MBBS) Practice Setting Skilled Nursing Facilities / Post-Acute Care Role Overview The Medical Director will provide comprehensive clinical care while overseeing medical operations across assigned skilled nursing facilities. This position combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities , ensuring high-quality, evidence-based treatment for residents. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including evaluations, examinations, and treatment planning Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions Apply evidence-based medicine to diagnose and manage medical conditions Serve as Medical Director for assigned facilities and support clinical teams Coordinate referrals with specialists and healthcare providers Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care Oversee appropriate use of medical supplies and resources Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and chart completion Support quality improvement and patient care standards across facilities ? Qualifications ? MD, DO, or MBBS from an accredited institution ? Active or eligible U.S. medical license ? Experience in post-acute, geriatrics, internal medicine, or family medicine preferred ?
