POSITION: This position will be responsible for supervising and
coordinating a team of delivery assistants to ensure all deliveries
are made in a timely and efficient manner. The Supervisor will work
closely with the Delivery Driver Manager to plan and organize
delivery schedules, manage team performance, and ensure that all
department personnel meet company performance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: Supervise and direct a team
of Delivery Helpers to ensure all deliveries are completed and
merchandised in a timely and efficient manner. Train and mentor
personnel to improve performance and ensure consistent quality of
service. Ensure all Delivery Helpers comply with company policies
and procedures, including safety regulations and customer service
standards, and that they are executing against their monthly PFP.
Manage department personnel, including participation in hiring,
discipline, and termination activities. Route Responsibilities:
Survey the marketplace regularly to ensure Summits’ brands are
represented to company standards and to monitor competitors’
activities. Monitor backstock for neatness and cleanliness. Ensure
all delivery equipment, including vehicles, dollies, and hand
jacks, are properly treated and maintained by delivery assistant
personnel. Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to improve
delivery processes. Assist drivers with final loading and cover
delivery routes when necessary. Actively participate in department
meetings and safety training sessions. Supervisory
Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the overtime of the
Delivery Helper team. Conduct regular performance evaluations,
providing feedback and coaching as necessary. Execute against
scorecard objectives each trimester. Plan, assign tasks, and direct
the work of subordinate personnel; ensure work meets exactness,
neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Appraise
performance, reward employees appropriately, address complaints,
and resolve personnel problems; foster a team-centric culture in
the department. Monitor and submit bi-weekly payroll documentation
for Delivery Helpers. Take necessary corrective action in a timely
manner and in accordance with company policy.

Adhere to all company and supplier procedures and policies. Adhere
to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding
the sale of alcoholic beverages. Perform work activities in
accordance with established safe work practices, policies, and
procedures. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS and
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA) Any combination equivalent to the
following education and experience that would provide the necessary
knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to
obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: High School
diploma or equivalent preferred; some college coursework preferred.
Three (3) or more years of experience in a professional delivery
field such as distribution, transportation/logistics. Three (3) or
more years in a supervisory, administrative, or management capacity
preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Ability to work in a
fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong
organizational, computer, and time-management skills. Familiarity
with delivery equipment and tools, including hand trucks and pallet
jacks. Valid Montana driver’s license and the ability to be insured
under a company insurance policy. Flexibility to work early
mornings, evenings, and weekends and provide coverage as needed.
Basic knowledge of draft systems and their operations a plus.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public.
Ability to understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage’s
organizational mission and goals. Physical and Other Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of four 10-hour days, primarily
spent at out in the market. The shifts, end times, and total hours
worked may vary depending on the season and amount of deliveries,
sometimes exceeding 10 hours. May involve coverage on off-delivery
days or if employees are absent from work. Seeing - 75-100% : Must
be able to read reports and use computer/tablet/similar office
equipment. Must be able to read and interpret documentation.
Hearing 75-100% : Must be able to hear well enough to communicate
with employees and business contacts. Must be aware of environment
when driving. Standing/Walking: 75-100% Sitting: 0-24%
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 50-74% Lifting/Pushing/Pulling 75-100%
: Routinely moving up to 60lbs. Occasionally up to 160lbs. (keg).
Grasping/Feeling/Hand Dexterity: 75-100% Driving and Travel 25-49%:
Daily travel to and from warehouse and customer locations. Working
Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat wet and/or
humid conditions while working and traveling between customer
accounts. Employees may be exposed to continual movement or
vibration while operating the company vehicle. The employee often
works near moving mechanical equipment (i.e. forklift/lift gates).
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
