GENERAL STATEMENT:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma
Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following
fields: Customer Service
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Detail oriented and attention to detail
Self starter
Team player
Strong use of the English language in verbal and written
communication
(Spelling - 90% Grammar - 85%)
Excellent telephone skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise
under pressure
Customer service mindset
Proficient typing skills (60 words per minute)
General knowledge of business protocols
Ability and willingness to keep information confidential
SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:
Microsoft Word and Excel required
Microsoft PowerPoint, helpful
Microsoft Outlook, required
Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability
to use new software programs with basic training.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Front Desk Attendant is the first contact for the public. They
will be answering phone calls, taking donations, handing out snacks
to guests, logging guest visits into the computer and assisting the
staff with returning calls and assisting guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming phone calls and determine the most appropriate
resolution
Process all incoming checks
Maintain Department Logs
Create physical files as needed
Maintain and update contact information
Generate reports as needed
Maintain supply inventory
Provide administrative support to department head
Perform other administrative functions as requested
Intake Clients and maintain services logs daily
Ensure policies are being adhered to in front lobby area
Light Janitorial as needed
Supervise and train front desk volunteers as needed
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
When front desk is operated by volunteers, additional duties may
include filing for other departments and making phone calls on
behalf of Social Services Coordinator.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist
on an intermittent or continuous basis
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet
drawers, and reach overhead
Ability to operate telephone
Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
Ability to access and produce information from a computer
Ability to understand written information
Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties
