Class A driver's license.
Clean driving record.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
Ability to identify potential maintenance problems that could be taken care oftimely. (Preventive maintenance)
Ability to sleep/rest while truck is motion. (If working in a team driving setting)

Essential Functions:
If required, load the truck for delivery.
Assist in picking orders and other duties as may be assigned.

Secure cargo for transport, using load locks.
Deliver products to customers, unloading and checking in orders, collecting moniesand completion of proper paperwork.
Perform maintenance on the vehicle, to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergencyequipment is in good working order.


Provide outstanding customer service during delivery operations.
Maintain required certifications/licenses as required by the employer.
Maintain, secure and protect property entrusted to you.
Chain and unchain truck tires.
Maintain logs of working hours, following applicable state and federal regulations.
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Work professionally in a team-driving setting.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

2-wheeled hand truck, aluminum load locks, snow chains.

SignificantWorksite Measurements:

Step height is 20 inches to climbinto and out of the truck cab.
The floor of the van is 50 inches from the ground, and the ramp is stowed inthe ramp stow at a height of 42 inches from the ground.
Reach heights: The ramp is pulled out of the ramp stow andlifted from a height of 40 inches to a height of 55 inches. Chains, weighing 46 lbs, are lifted overtires at a height of 42 inches. The fifth wheel release arm and landing gearcrank are at 45 inch heights. Reachingto low levels, reaching overhead to high levels, and all levels in between isperformed when picking a product to load.
Lift heights: Totes and boxes, of varying dimensions andweights up to 50 lbs, are lifted from the ground to 60-inch height. Light weights are rarely lifted to orlowered from, overhead heights.
Freight weights: Crates, cases, boxes, and totes weigh between10 lbs and 50 lbs.

Critical Physical Demands:

Lifting: Crates, cases, boxes, and totes, weighing upto 35 lbs are lifted occasionally, and weighing up to 50 lbs, are liftedrarely, from ground/floor level to 60 inches in height (5 totes stacked).
Lifting: One end of the truck ramp weighs 65 lbs, andis lifted from 40 to 55-inch height, rarely, for attachment onto the back ofthe truck van floor.
Carrying: Crates, cases, boxes, and totes, weighing upto 35 lbs are carried occasionally, and weighing up to 50 lbs, are carriedrarely, at waist level, a distance of fewer than 50 feet.
Carrying and reaching: Rarely lift and carry snow chainsweighing 46 lbs. a short distance, at waist height, and throw them overtires at the height of 42 inches.
Lifting and reaching: occasional handling of crates, cases,boxes and totes, by bending to reach low levels, reaching overhead to highlevels, and all levels in between, is performed when picking a product toload.
Handgrip force: Heavy hand grip force of atAt least 90 lbs in the dominant hand, and 80 lbs in the non-dominant hand is necessary to gripthe handles of the hand truck when ascending and descending the ramp, curbs andstairs. Heavy hand grip force isnecessary to crank the landing gear, and to pull the fifth wheel release arm.
Pulling: (Occasionally) pulling the ramp out of theramp stow, at a height of 42 inches, requires a 2-handed pull force of 65 lbs.
Pulling:(Occasionally) the 2-wheeled hand truck up or down steps or ramps requires 125lbs pull force, at waist level, to control the load.
Pulling:(Rarely) the fifth wheel release arm requires approximately 50 lbs of pullforce, with one arm, at a height of 40 inches.
Pulling: (Rarely) vertical at a self-selected height with a force of 20 lb. to open the truck hood, tocheck fluid levels and replace as needed to complete pre and post-tripinspection procedures and preparations.
Pushing: (Occasionally) returning the ramp to the rampstow, at the height of 42 inches, requires a 2-handed push force of 55 lbs.
Crouching orkneeling: (Rarely) for 1 min. to check general conditions under the chassis andexterior of truck to complete pre and post-trip inspection procedures andpreparations.
Climbing / Balancing: Occasional climbing a 20-inch step,using arms and three points of contact, to enter the truck cab.
Continuous sitting in the truck seatwhile driving a truck.
Frequent use of hands and feet,while operating hand controls and foot controls to drive the truck.
Occasional walking and standing todeliver the load.
