This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Clinical Coordinator / Registered Nurse position in the Heart and Vascular Cath Lab.
The incumbent will perform separate duties under the two distinct job titles of Clinical Coordinator and RN. Responsibilities and duties are divided.
Clinic Coordinator (0.6 FTE): The Clinical Coordinator -is accountable for patient care, clinical outcomes, state related (MCHB) documentation/data gathering and customer and employee satisfaction. Serves as nursing clinical expert, resource coordinator, and integrator of care. Performs in the role of Cath Lab Manager as needed. Oversees staff time and attendance addresses employee and patient issues, provides feedback to staff performance, provides training, creates, and maintain schedules. Performs other managerial duties as assigned.
Registered Nurse (0.4 FTE): The RN coordinates all patient care activities at Billings Clinic Heart and Vascular. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. - The cardiology RN provides expert care and education to cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor, and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents is essential. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills. - Must cross train to all areas in the Heart Center. - Call rotation required for Cath Lab.
Minimum Required: RN License required. BLS Health Care Provider, ACLS. Proficiency in English, verbal and written communication skills. Three years recent Cath lab experience required.
Preferred/Desired: BSN preferred. Leadership experience preferred.
On-Call / Weekend Requirements: Yes.
